Sustainability is central to ARO’s role in supporting Saudi Arabia’s energy security and long-term resilience. Over time, we have strengthened ESG integration through a strong safety culture, skilled workforce, and operational excellence. In 2024, our participation in the MEP’s Sustainability Champions Program marked a key shift, leading to a refreshed materiality assessment, a new sustainability framework, and stronger alignment with Vision 2030, the Saudi Green Initiative (SGI), and global standards.
We are now focused on performance-driven sustainability management, grounded in material issues, structured data, and national priorities.
”At ARO, sustainability is a strategic imperative that shapes how we create long-term value. As we navigate a rapidly evolving energy landscape, our commitment to responsible and resilient growth remains unwavering. By embedding sustainability into our decision-making, we are strengthening ARO’s competitive position, enhancing our contribution to national priorities, and safeguarding our license to operate for years to come.
This moment also marks a turning point for the Board’s role in advancing ARO’s sustainability ambitions. We are committed to providing active strategic oversight — not only in governance, but in shaping the company’s long-term direction through scenario planning, workforce development, and sustainability capacity-building.”
